Remove green zoom rectangle

Friday 4 September 2009

If you have even seen any video tutorial on YouTube with Camtasia Studios then you have probably seen the green rectangle when the user zooms into the screen. The green rectangle is used to show that the screen has zoomed in.

However, some users don’t like the green border around the zooming screen. In this tutorial you will learn how to remove the green border from the zoom rectangle. This process is actually very simply and only requires un-checking one box.

Below I will provide step by step instructions:

1. Firstly, you need to open Camtasia studios.

2. Select Tools from the menu bar at the top of the screen and select ‘Options’

3. Now that the Options window has appeared. Select the ‘Zoom’ tab and then uncheck the ‘Apply Zoom-n-Pan hints’ option.

4. Click OK, and the green border should now be removed when you zoom.
